Catherine Manifield

Local girl Catherine Manifield will be running a selective and grueling race in order to raise funds for  Leicester Animal Aid.

Catherine, from Cosby Leicestershire is an animal lover herself with horses, cats, a tortoise and a rabbit, appreciates the costs of feeding and providing shelter for animals, and that is without the added costs of any veterinary treatment that may arise.
The Marathon des Sables takes place on Saturday April 10th 2010 is a self sufficiency race over a period of 5 to 6 days in temperatures exceeding late 30’s.
Catherine has experience of similar races as she has previously completed the London Marathon and last year completed the Sahara Desert Race.
Leicester Animal Aid are delighted that Catherine has chosen Leicester Animal Aid, as she will be raising funds for their much needed cause, rescuing and re homing unwanted, neglected and abandoned cats and dogs, costing in excess of £32,000 a month.
